Subject to prior approval of location, intended use, and
exterior installation exclusions.
All doors must be inspected upon arrival and all claims for
complaints which can be reasonably discovered upon inspection
must be made within thirty (30) days of arrival and prior to any
finishing being applied. Under any circumstance, Vancouver Door Co., Inc. is not
obligated for costs incurred as a result of replacement if the
defect for which the door is being rejected was apparent prior
to installation. Any other claims made within the time
period specified above from date of shipment. Any and all claims
must be made in writing to Vancouver Door Co., Inc. P.O. Box
1418, Puyallup, WA 98371. Upon
presentation of a timely claim, Vancouver Door Co., Inc., will
at its option repair or replace (in the white unfinished state),
without charge, or at its sole option refund the purchase price
of any door which is defective or fails to conform to the
warranty stated herein. Vancouver Door Co., Inc., will not be
responsible for any charges for finishing or installing replaced
doors, nor will it be responsible for any work which was not
originally performed by it. This warranty is not effective if
goods are repaired or replaced without first obtaining the
written consent of Vancouver Door Co., Inc. Vancouver
Door Company, Inc., will be responsible, during the time period
stated above, for warp or telegraphing defects in excess of the
tolerances stated below. If there is a claim for warp or
telegraphing defects, Vancouver Door Company, Inc., may defer,
at its option, taking action to remedy such a problem for a
period not to exceed twelve (12) months from the date of claim.
If a door has been installed prior to such claim being made, the
door must remain in the original installation during the period
of deferment to permit conditioning to humidity and temperature.
Nothing stated, in this paragraph, however, shall extend the
period during which a claim must be made. MATTERS
EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY: Except as specifically provided above, there are no
warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, or at any other implied warranty, except as such
representation of warranty is stated in the acknowledgement or
order or otherwise agreed to in writing signed by an officer of
Vancouver Door Co., Inc. In any case, any implied warranty shall
be limited to one year and Vancouver Door Company, Inc.'s,
liability is expressly limited to repair or replacement of
nonconforming goods or the refund of the purchase price, at the
option of Vancouver Door Company, Inc. Vancouver Door Company,
Inc., shall not be bound by oral representations or
nonconformance with any model or sample. Vancouver Door Company,
Inc., specifically disclaims any liability for incidental or
consequential damages resulting from any breach of the warranty
stated herein.
Some states
do not allow limitations and exclusions on how long an implied
warranty lasts or allow exclusions or limitations of incidental
or consequential damages, so the above limitations and
exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state. Additional terms and conditions,
including additional exclusions from warranty cover age are
contained on the reverse side of this limited warranty. Any
extension of our warranty to include reasonable rehang or
refinish, will in no event exceed $50.00 per door credit for
these services.
